Llano County opens vaccine clinics to public

Llano County residents who want to receive a COVID-19 vaccine have their chance beginning Thursday, April 8, and Friday, April 9, and continuing Monday through Wednesday of next week after the state of Texas selected Llano County to be a vaccine provider.

The Highland Lakes Family Crisis Center — Blanco, Burnet, Lampasas and Llano counties’ only domestic violence and sexual assault crisis center — is pleased to announce a partnership with HARTH Foundation, the only PATH Center in Burnet, Lampasas and Llano counties offering equine assisted services (EAS) including therapeutic riding.

Inmate caught hitching ride

A parolee escaped from custody at a Llano hospital facility the morning of Nov. 30 and remained on the loose for about three hours before he was discovered hitching a ride from an elderly man in Kingsland, according to the Llano County Sheriff’s Office.
