Townhome plan irks neighbors

Neighborhood concerns about rezoning lots to allow for a townhome project prompted Marble Falls City Council April 6 to delay a decision on granting the developers’ request. The plan involves a zoning amendment in an approximate 15-acre area that would allow for a conditional use permit for developers to build up to 48 1,500 to 1,600 square feet units, priced from $225,000 to $240,000 and 1,800 square feet or more at a buyer’s price of $275,000 each.

With additional grant funding and re-allocated bond debt in hand, Marble Falls City Council March 16 voted for amendments reflecting approximately $350,000 in changes to expand and make adjustments to work for an ongoing bank stabilization project on Backbone Creek.

MLakes vows $57k for bridge

Marble Falls City Council approved their intent March 16 to fund as much as $358,000 as their grant fund match and select a fund management service firm to launch a bridge project over a flood-prone low-water crossing on Avenue N near the entryway of Meadowlakes.
