Vaccine options grow

Residents of Burnet and Llano counties continue to wait for more of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine to become available in the area as a scant existing supply is being directed first to front-line first responders, such as Marble Falls Fire Rescue Chief Russell Sander (pictured here), health care professionals, long-term care facility residents and the elderly or those with chronic health conditions.

New year, new terms for Burnet County officials

Burnet County elected officials were sworn into office for their new term on Friday, Jan. 1, at the Burnet County Courthouse. Among those who took a new oath for the new year are, from left, Precinct 1 Commissioner Jim Luther Jr., 33rd District Judge Allan Garrett, District Attorney Wiley “Sonny” McAfee, County Attorney Eddie Arredondo, Tax Assessor-Collector Sheri Frazier, Sheriff Calvin Boyd and Precinct 3 Commissioner Billy Wall.
