If you live in Cottonwood Shores and care about the future of your city, mark Thursday, July 1 on your calendar. That’s when the city’s new master plan will be unveiled for public comment at the regular city council meeting.

The Marble Falls Independent School District Board of Trustees approved a 2021-22 budget with a balanced general fund, a two percent pay increase for staff and a path towards making future debt payments.

The Cottonwood Shores Parks & Recreation Department sponsored the community’s Adopt-A-Street 1st Pick Up Day Event over the weekend. Dozens of residents participate.

Cottonwood Shores voters reauthorized a local sales tax of 0.25 percent to generate revenue for municipal street maintenance and repair during the Saturday, May 1, election. Only 13 people voted in all, but 10 said they were in favor of Proposition A in complete but unofficial returns, while only three people opposed the measure.

Voters in Marble Falls will elect a new mayor and three council members during the Saturday, May 1, municipal election, while Cottonwood Shores voters will decide whether to continue using sales tax to pay for street maintenance and repairs.
