Cottonwood Shores hosting historical hayride

The city of Cottonwood Shores invites you to the Legends of the Falls Hayride Theatre event, Oct. 22 and 23. This one-of-a-kind theatrical event will highlight the unique history of the community, which has roots reaching back to the Texas Revolution, as well as, prehistoric Native American settlements.

Cottonwood Shores adopts ‘first step’ wildlife feeding ordinance

In an attempt to limit the number of deer and other wildlife in high traffic areas, the Cottonwood Shores City Council approved an ordinance to criminalize feeding near roadways. Councilman Roger Wayson presented an updated version of Ordinance 2002 which calls for citizens to cease feeding wild animals 50 feet from a roadway and for city staff to assist in providing education on the topic.

Motorcycle pursuit leads to passenger death

A Cottonwood Shores woman has died after succumbing to her injuries following a motorcycle pursuit which ended in a crash on RM 2900 in Kingsland, according to the Llano County Sheriff’s Office. Farren Michelle Hawkins, 34, was the passenger on the motorcycle driven by 30-year-old Robert Lee Williams of Marble Falls, around 8:30 p.m.
