Horseshoe Bay history book will be ready for July 4

The 50-year history of the city of Horseshoe Bay is the subject of a new book that will be available for sale at the annual Horseshoe Bay Property Owners Association Fourth of July celebration. Linda Lambert and Jim Jorden, the editors of “The Story of Horseshoe Bay, Texas — 1971-2021,” appeared before the Horseshoe Bay City Council at Tuesday’s regular meeting to discuss progress on the book and to be honored for their work.

Horseshoe Bay POA hears Mausoleum progress report

Horseshoe Bay Property Owners Association directors heard a positive report last month about progress made at the Horseshoe Bay Mausoleum and by the Memorial Association committee. Mausoleum Association Special Committee chairman Chuck Bard told directors the Mausoleum structure has been power washed and cleaned and both the structure and its associated fire danger have been assessed.

The Boogie at the Bay concert series returns this Wednesday for a seventh season and Horseshoe Bay area residents are encouraged to bring a blanket, a buddy and a beer and come listen to the music. The free concert series will be held every Wednesday in June (June 2, June 9, June 16, June 23 and June 30) from 6 p.m.

HSBPOA calls special election for vacancies

Horseshoe Bay Property Owner’s Association Board of Director President Mike Thuss has called for a special election to fill two vacancies on the board. Therefore, there will be a special election for two (2) three (3) year terms on Saturday, June 26 for two open positions on the HSBPOA Board of Directors.

‘Back the Blue’ night at Boogie at the Bay

The Horseshoe Bay Property Owners Association (POA) is using their Boogie at the Bay center stage sponsorship on July 1 to honor local police officers and law enforcement personnel in Horseshoe Bay for their efforts keeping the community safe, the Horseshoe Bay Business Alliance announced. The POA’s special “Back the Blue” night will highlight the police men and women of Horseshoe Bay and Llano and Burnet counties and salute their daily (and nightly) service to the community.
