Due to staff shortages caused by COVID-19, Marble Falls Independent School District has opted to suspend a few of the bus routes, officials announced on “We have been extremely resourceful and benefitted from staff members across the district who are certified to help fill-in as bus drivers where possible,” Superintendent Chris Allen said in a statement. “These staff members include many of our athletic coaches, CTE staff and technology staff, to name a few.

Community Resource Centers of Texas, Inc. (CRCTX) announced a new partnership with Highland Lakes Crisis Network (HLCN) that will provide support to HLCN’s Transformational Living initiative.

Highland Lakes Crisis Network is on a new mission. The primary message the group hopes to convey is how the foster care system is “in crisis,” inpiring the local nonprofit to jump in and help with a new facility.

City officials approved a new public improvement district (PID) for a 335-acre development within the Roper Ranch in the Marble Falls city limits during the regular council meeting on Jan. 18.

The Marble Falls Public Library will host an ongoing chess club on Fridays from 4 to 6 p.m. Library officials said attendees to the club will “build skills” and “make friends.” All ages and skill levels are welcome to join.

There’s good news at The Helping Center these days! Following its successful tournament last October, The Club at Horseshoe Bay Resort 2021 Mah Jongg Tournament (MJT) has donated $40,000 to The Helping Center to fund its LEARN for LIFE Program.
