The Phoenix Center takes shape

Officials of The Phoenix Center announced that construction of their new facility is progressing well and at a good pace. The more than 7,000-square feet facility, located just off Texas 71 in Horseshoe Bay will continue offering services for at-risk kids throughout the Highland Lakes.

Crisis network launches bed building program

Highland Lakes Crisis Network volunteers will embark on a task to build a solid foundation for rest and comfort for youngsters in the local community. HLCN is joining forces with local churches, Daybreak Rotary, SkillsUSA chapter members from Marble Falls High School and the Austin chapter of Sleep in Heavenly Peace to build and deliver beds to children in our area who currently sleep on the floor.

Chamber to host “How to Grow Your Business” Workshop

The Marble Falls Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a free workshop on February 9th at the Burnet County Resource Centers of Texas, located at 1016 Broadway in Marble Falls. The workshop is open to chamber members and all businesses in Marble Falls, Burnet, Llano, Horseshoe Bay, Kingsland, and the surrounding areas. Veronica De La Hoya, the Membership Coordinator for the Marble Falls Chamber of Commerce, encourages local business owners to take advantage of an afternoon with Jeff Matera from Austin Score. Austin Score is a group of certified mentors, experienced entrepreneurs, corporate managers, and executives with diverse industries and specialties who volunteer their experience and knowledge to help small business owners. Mr. Matera has experience with national and international companies, both large and small, in sales, marketing, public relations, product development, and manufacturing. Veronica shared that the goal of the workshops they sponsor is “to help local businesses succeed especially new businesses who often need additional support to keep going.” She also shared that the Marble Falls Chamber intends to continue to hold workshops in 2022 with the information posted on the website www.marblefalls.org.
