As temperatures approach triple digits on Saturday and Sunday, the Marble Falls/Lake LBJ Chamber of Commerce is providing a way to beat the heat downtown. The chamber has revived the Slide into Marble Falls event after it was canceled last year due to pandemic concerns.

The heart of Marble Falls will be busy this coming weekend with two family-oriented events. First, the city of Marble Falls is hosting a night out and camp in Johnson Park Friday and Saturday, June 4 and 5.

The Marble Falls Chamber of Commerce proudly announces the return of the Lakefest Boat Races held on Aug. 7 and 8 after a three-year long hiatus.

Mayfest will have something for everyone in the family when it returns to Johnson Park May 5-8 after last year’s event was canceled due to COVID-19. This festival, sponsored by the Marble Falls Chamber of Commerce and the City of Marble Falls, features free entry, free concerts, recreational games, a carnival and beer, wine and yummy treats for purchase.

Most kids going to camp this summer will be packing a sleeping bag, sunscreen and lots of extra clothes as they prepare themselves to bunk with friends or perhaps make new friends in a rustic or semi-rustic environment. This year in the Highland Lakes, a new camp requires only an apron and the desire to explore the culinary world from a kid’s perspective.

During an upcoming grand opening ceremony, a local art gallery owner and artist will feature his own paintings as well as a collection of original pieces for sale in various media from the Marble Falls Paint the Town/Plein Air Competition throughout the years.

The Marble Falls/Lake LBJ Chamber of Commerce hosts Spring Market Day on Main from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 6. Come to Main Street Marble Falls to experience craft makers, bakers, and style creators from around the Hill Country. Celebrate the spring weather with more than 60 vendors and spend the day downtown with local boutiques, breweries, and eateries. Social distancing will be enforced at this outdoor event, and wearing masks will be encouraged if a crowd is forming. Dogs are welcome!
