Families to cool off with street slide in Marble Falls

As temperatures approach triple digits on Saturday and Sunday, the Marble Falls/Lake LBJ Chamber of Commerce is providing a way to beat the heat downtown. The chamber has revived the Slide into Marble Falls event after it was canceled last year due to pandemic concerns.

Chamber officials say fees ‘tough to swallow’

Insight into municipal park fees may lead to restructuring of how groups pay for park amenities use, after city administration faced backlash from facility renters and event organizers. The workshop, which also involved fielding concerns about new park use rules (See related story on Page 1), was hosted by Marble Falls City Council June 15 in which parks and recreation committee members were in attendance.

Mayfest returns through May 8 in Marble Falls

Mayfest will have something for everyone in the family when it returns to Johnson Park May 5-8 after last year’s event was canceled due to COVID-19. This festival, sponsored by the Marble Falls Chamber of Commerce and the City of Marble Falls, features free entry, free concerts, recreational games, a carnival and beer, wine and yummy treats for purchase.

Market Day to feature area vendors March 6 in Marble Falls

The Marble Falls/Lake LBJ Chamber of Commerce hosts Spring Market Day on Main from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 6. Come to Main Street Marble Falls to experience craft makers, bakers, and style creators from around the Hill Country. Celebrate the spring weather with more than 60 vendors and spend the day downtown with local boutiques, breweries, and eateries. Social distancing will be enforced at this outdoor event, and wearing masks will be encouraged if a crowd is forming. Dogs are welcome!
