Coordinators offer accolades at Teen Court awards event
A group of local teenagers were recognized for their participation in the Highland Lakes Teen Court program recently. Scholarship recipients Aydan Ortis and Jeremiah Mosbey were among the celebrants at the Teen Court Banquet held April 29, at Lakeside Pavilion.

Developers cultivating ‘working list’ of shopping center retailers
From a sporting goods store to a clothing outlet, the buzz around possible national retailers has gained steam for a planned Marble Falls shopping center. Developers contend, however, that reports of settled retailers fall short of confirmation, how ever, the list shows promise.

Granite Shoals makes some charter changes
Granite Shoals voters passed 17 propositions on the May 4 ballot. According to the Burnet County Elections Office, the vast majority of them passed with high percentages in favor, including a 1% sales and use tax. The rest primarily offered updates to the city charter with the only close votes involving the city secretary’s role as it applies to evaluations and job duties. The following are preliminary results in lieu of canvassing:

The Marble Falls Independent School District football program is offering several opportunities for youngsters to learn more about the sport. The first is the Friday Night Lights camp for children in Kindergarten- sixth grade May 10 at The Corral at Mustang Stadium.
