Dwindling shoreline attracting four-wheelers
During current drought, driving on LCRA-owned land in the lakebed is allowed as long as vehicles don’t cause public safety hazard or environmental impact. As the drought continues, the Lower Colorado River Authority will continue its long-standing practice of using its enforcement discretion to allow vehicles to drive across parts of the dry lakebed owned by LCRA, as long as the vehicles do not cause a public safety or environmental impact at Lake Buchanan.

County approached with out-of-this-world project
Representatives wishing to build a consortium for aerospace development, visited Burnet County commissioners March to attempt to include them in a budding corporation. After much discussion, the commissioners discussed but took no immediate action related to the request by Cedar Park Assistant Economic Director Scott Smith for Burnet County to join Williamson County with official acceptance of the Central Texas Spaceport Development Corporation.

Boys soccer team season ends in playoff loss
The Marble Falls High School boys soccer team lost to La Vernia 1-0 March 25 in the area round of the Class 4A Division I playoffs to end its season. The Mustangs finish as the District 26-4A runners- up with a 7-1-2 record, 15-7-3 overall with a bi-district championship.
