18th annual Bayside Bazaar coming up in Horseshoe Bay

Horseshoe Bay residents will be vendors at the 18 annual Bayside Bazaar this year. Two measures on ballot for Horseshoe Bay

This November 2 is election day for eligible Horseshoe Bay voters. You must be registered to vote by October 4. Early voting starts October 18 through 29 at either the Horseshoe Bay City Hall for Horseshoe Bay in Llano County voters or the Marble Falls Courthouse South Annex, 810 Steve Hawkins Parkway for Horseshoe Bay in Burnet County voters. Election day voting locations are the same. The General Election for the unopposed incumbent candidates has been cancelled; however, there is still a need to vote as there is a Special Election for two very important City Propositions (A & B) that need citizen consideration and participation. These propositions deal with sales taxes.

At least one sent to the hospital in Hwy 71 rollover

Around 8:30 a.m. on Sept 30 a passenger vehicle traveling eastbound on Texas 71 on Sept. 30 left the roadway on the south side of the roadway and struck a tree just west of the RM 2147 intersection, according to a motorist who witnessed the crash. At least one person was taken to a nearby emergency room with non life threatening injuries. Traffic was delayed momentarily as crews cleared the scene. DPS is investigating the cause. Horseshoe Bay passes FY 2021-22 property tax rate

The Horseshoe Bay City Council approved keeping the fiscal year 2021-22 tax rate the same as the previous years, which by state law is considered a tax rate increase. Finance Director Margie Cardenas presented an ordinance at the Tuesday, Sept.

Horseshoe Bay Fire Rescue honors fallen soldiers

Horseshoe Bay Fire Rescue made a statement Sept. 1 by honoring the memory of the 13 troops who died during a terrorist attack in Afghanistan in August. “[W]e have set thirteen table settings that will not be occupied this evening as a poignant reminder of their service and sacrifice. Judge swears in new Llano County Precinct 4 Constable

Llano County officials ushered in a new constable with a swearing in ceremony Sept. 1 at the Llano County annex in Horseshoe Bay. County officials, including precinct 1 Commissioner Peter Jones and Justice of the Peace Bebe Rocha, attended the event, along with the outgoing constable Gary Olfers, family members and supporters of the new Constable Gary Silver.

Marble Falls Area EMS celebrates successful tour of service by sharing history

A regional emergency services entity is sharing the chronology of its journey adapting and serving a growing Highland Lakes area with the announcement of its 20-year anniversary. In 2001, four years before Horseshoe Bay became an incorporated city, Marble Falls Area EMS contracted with Horseshoe Bay MUD as the EMS provider for the area that would eventually become the City of Horseshoe Bay in 2005.
