Cottonwood Shores takes steps toward water plant

City Administrator J.C. Hughes had good news for Cottonwood Shores City Council members Thursday: Hughes said the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) was expected to approve the final part of the city’s application for a $1.5 million water project in the next few days, putting the project on track for a completion in July or August of next year.

Cottonwood Shores adopts ‘first step’ wildlife feeding ordinance

In an attempt to limit the number of deer and other wildlife in high traffic areas, the Cottonwood Shores City Council approved an ordinance to criminalize feeding near roadways. Councilman Roger Wayson presented an updated version of Ordinance 2002 which calls for citizens to cease feeding wild animals 50 feet from a roadway and for city staff to assist in providing education on the topic.
