Special to The Highlander Friends at the Highland Lakes YMCA threw an end-of-summer bash which attracted families from throughout the area. Significant rainfall brings relief to drought conditions
It has been a while since we last saw the floodgates in operation on the Highland Lakes chain of lakes. One photo shows one floodgate opened July 24 on Starke Dam.
