LCRA taking applications for additional $200K in grants
In celebration of their grant program’s 30th year, the Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA) will offer two $100,000 community grants. The LCRA is increasing the amount of money available for community grants over the next fiscal year and plans to award the grants to commemorate the anniversary.

All eyes on lawmakers; follow the bouncing bills
City of Meadowlakes In last week’s Mayor’s Corner column, I brought up Senate Bill 7 sponsored by Charles Perry of Lubbock which lays out the administrative framework for funding water projects through the leadership of the Texas Water Development Board. The bill is part of a strategy to fund water infrastructure projects by devoting $1 billion in sales tax revenues toward these projects for the next ten years (total of $10 billion).

Huey Todd Corry
Horseshoe Bay, Texas - It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Huey Todd Corry Jr on May 21, 2025. Todd was born on October 4, 1948, in Dallas, Texas to Bettye and Huey Todd Corry Sr. While Todd grew up in Dallas and grew his career there, he eventually moved to Houston in 1999 and later happily retired in Horseshoe Bay.
