Touch-a-Truck quite the ride for families
Kingsland School Principal Missy Dean took one – or four – dunks for the team at the annual Touch-a-Truck fundraiser on Saturday, April 26. Benefitting the Boys & Girls Club of Kingsland, families enjoyed the chance to get behind the wheels of law enforcement cars, fire trucks and a helicopter, among other large vehicles of local commercial businesses.

Benini Museo hosts UT Italian class students
Museo Benini was loud recently with the Italian language, songs and laughter as the second semester Italian language class from the University of Texas toured the museum and sculpture trails, with their professor Milanese Vanessa Fanelli. “It was such a good experience for the students to tour the artwork at the museum and at the same time actually hear and practice the language they are studying,” professor Fanelli said.

Deadline extended for 2026 museum calendar contest
The Falls on the Colorado Museum in Marble Falls is extending the deadline for entries to its 2026 calendar photo contest. The new deadline is June 2 to submit “Waterscape” pictures taken in the Highland Lakes.

Community turns out for Cottonwood Shores healthcare fair
The first Cottonwood Health Care Fair was a great success, blessed with perfect weather and a wonderful community turnout. Over 40 vendors participated, offering a wide range of health and fitness services, food pantries, pet services, local first responder departments and other resources and information to attendees.
